OUR SERVICES

Stud Dogs

(price dependant of dog)

Stud fees must be paid at 1st mating, with-held numbers will not be answered. We offer 2 consecutive mating’s for this fee. All our stud dogs are proven, and sperm tested. They have no breathing issues and nice wide nostrils.

Bitches must be progesterone tested prior to mating. This can be done at your vets or we can arrange for you to have it done at our local vets.

We will provide a free scan at 35 days (we do not count pups, just confirm pregnancy). If pregnancy is not detected the stud fee is FOC next season.

We are also here for help and advice throughout the pregnancy and when the pups arrive.

Assisted Mating

£75 for 2 matings (at our premises)

Many problems can affect and prevent mating to naturally occur. It is for these reasons that Assisted Mating is the best and most effective remedy to the problems occurring in natural mating:

Behavioural problems: aggressiveness (usually from the bitch), shyness, poor socialisation, and lack of understanding especially for first time dogs.

Pregnancy Scanning

£20 (at our premises)

Mobile POA

I recommend scanning at 35 days (5 weeks) from mating. The reason for this is that this is when a reasonable amount of calcium development has formed within the gestation sacs and will therefore provide a good chance of obtaining confirmation of pregnancy. It is also because a canine female is unlikely to absorb puppies after this stage.

I will not confirm the size of the litter as gestation sacs often hide behind one another and other sacs can hide behind dense matter such as bone. I confirm pregnancy only.

Microchipping

£10 per animal at our premises

Mobile POA

Since 6 April 2016, all dogs in England, Scotland and Wales must be microchipped BY LAW. As of that date, owners of dogs and puppies over the age of eight weeks must also have registered their pet's microchip details on one of the authorised databases.

One of the most effective means of protecting your dog or cat from being lost or stolen is microchipping them.

Microchips are tiny computer chips, about the size of a grain of rice. They are implanted under your pet’s skin using a needle, like a simple vaccination. Each microchip carries a registration number that is associated with the owner’s name and contact information. This information is added to a pet registry service offered by the chip manufacturer.

The registry information on the chips can be read using a handheld reader that displays the information so that the owner can be identified. Most shelters and veterinarians have these readers and can scan the pet and contact the owner if the pet is lost.
