It is important when breeding to know if your bitch is pregnant so you can provide the care and support needed. We provide a cost-effective pregnancy scanning service where we will confirm the presence of puppies.

Our recommended scanning time is at 35 days (5 weeks) from mating. The reason for this is that by then a reasonable amount of calcium development has formed within the gestation sacs and will therefore provide a good chance of obtaining confirmation of pregnancy. It is also because a canine female is unlikely to absorb puppies after this stage.

We will not confirm the size of the litter as gestation sacs often hide behind one another and other sacs can hide behind dense matter such as bone. We confirm pregnancy only.
